At the very first “hello” the situations, people around and the timing is merely a means of connection, but those who are meant to be a family at some point of life they surely cross paths more than once. Crossing paths and never looking back is the story of strangers in the crowd, few walk along for a while and change their paths to find their own herd; but then those who belong to same herd stick around. Sticking around is not always a joy ride and smooth sail. It is more about rough edges, scratches, imperfection and ugly truths at some point. But the tuned rhythms full of love within them, be in present to hold each other at the weak and defend each other in the absence making them stronger together against the world at the same time. The bickering & silly banters at the face of it, simply is the act of tiny joy with a gravity of being for each other in the good and right.

On any gloomy, rainy day with loads of reasons to be pulled down to rock bottom; the other one with the sparkle in the eyes walks along through the dark showing the light at the end of the tunnel. A blessing one could just wish for, where in the era of faceless friends only when they need and hold on to each other just for the sake of it; being obligated for societal norms. A true friend without any motive or intentions. But just for simple selfishness of joy and sense of freedom, of being one’s own self with each other, no place for judgement nor doubts is rare to be found.

The two friends of mine have shown the cynical me and made me believe some friendships are true to their hearts and when life is just million shades of gray, they give their ear to listen to the endless ranting and with a grin & confidence they call each other family saying “It’s just fine we came this far….”

Their friendships are soft colors of nature; earthy deep browns keeping everything protected. Soft & serious twinkling stars in the sky for a lifetime. In the face of winds & rumors they surely believe in each other first. Intricately interwoven paths of life, singing and dancing their souls for each other always….!
